Rural Arizona Contractor's Pathway Program

Rural Arizona Contractor's Pathway Program for the R-62 Minor Home Improvement License Arizona Registrar of Contractors

  • The Pathway program grant developed by the ROC will cover the costs of licensure for local tradespeople in the Cochise County area zip codes who have the skills and interest in conducting minor home improvements but have found the cost to become a licensed contractor prohibitive.
  • The Grant Program will assist these individuals with the costs of obtaining the R-62 Minor Home Improvement license and guide them through the initial process to obtain the license. By becoming licensed Arizona contractors, this will create new businesses and expand opportunities for these individuals and their employees by growing their skills and their ability to be legitimate licensed contractors. The program will cover the full cost of obtaining the R-62 Minor Home Improvement license for an initial two-year period. For more detailed information on this program click this link for the Grant Application Instructions.
  • The R-62 Minor Home Improvement License is for projects of $5,000 or less including labor and materials. This classification allows the licensee to perform remodeling, repairs, and improvements to existing structures or appurtenances.
  • Anyone in the Cochise County area who is interested and would like additional information on this opportunity, may contact us at pathwayprogram@roc.az.gov
  • The Arizona Registrar of Contractors will be doing outreach in this area. If you are interested in hosting an event to highlight this program and you are in the Cochise County area, please contact us at Rocoutreach@roc.az.gov
