Phoenix, Ariz., (January 10, 2019) –On Tues., January 8, 2019, at approximately 10:18 PM, Mark Allen Whittington, 60 formerly of Prescott, AZ, was arrested by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department and the Las Vegas Deputy City Marshals.

After receiving a tip regarding his potential whereabouts, the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (AZ ROC) worked with the Las Vegas Deputy City Marshals, who arrested Whittington, dba the End Result Remodeling. The arrest occurred without incident in the office lobby of the hotel he was staying at.

The warrant, issued on May 14, 2018 by the Prescott Justice Court, was for Failure to Appear after being summoned in April 2018.

In total, Whittington faces 18 counts to include: one count of Fraudulent Schemes and Artifices, a class 2 Felony; one count of Forgery, a class 4 Felony; six counts of Theft, a class 3 felony; one count of Theft, a class 4 felony, seven counts of Contracting Without a License, a class 1 misdemeanor; and two counts of Advertising Without a License, a class 1 misdemeanor.

The charges stem from six separate incidents investigated by the AZ ROC since 2016. The investigations found Whittington took $124,974 from Prescott homeowners for projects that were never completed and in some cases never even started. The cases were then submitted to the Yavapai County Attorney’s Office (YCAO) for charging.

Whittington was transported to the Clark County Detention Center, where he is currently being held non-bondable awaiting extradition. An Initial Appearance was set for 1:00 pm on Jan. 9, 2019.
