Cochise County, Ariz., (February 16, 2018) – Robert L. Harnage, age 59 of Sierra Vista, Arizona was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison on February 12, 2018.
On October 5th, 2017, Harnage, dba as Pinnacle Property Management, Classic Home Restoration LLC, and Home Improvement Specialist, pled guilty to charges of Fraudulent Schemes and Artifices and Theft, both Class Three Felonies.
Sandee Harnage, Robert Harnage’s wife was charged jointly with her husband and sentenced to three years of supervised probation.
The charges against Robert Harnage stemmed from four Arizona Registrar of Contractor’s (AZ ROC) investigations. The investigations, occurring between 2010 and 2016, found Harnage was paid a combined total of $31,098 from homeowners for remodeling projects in exchange for little or poor work.
In total, AZ ROC investigated 12 complaints against Harnage since 2007 and found he took over $103,141 from Cochise County property owners while failing to complete or completely abandoning the project.
AZ ROC, established in 1931, investigates complaints against licensed contractors and unlicensed entities. Licensed complaints may involve allegations of poor work and unlicensed complaints often include unlicensed individuals exploiting property owners ranging from poor work to complete abandonment while contracting without a license.
