PHOENIX, Ariz., (June 27, 2018) – On Wed., June 27, 2018, the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (AZ ROC) is launching a new page on its website to assist service members and veterans applying for or currently holding an Arizona contractors license.
The new web page ensures United States service members and veterans are aware of statutory allowances and authorities provided to the Registrar to ensure the service, work experience, and skills of veterans and service members are recognized. Additionally, the page also highlights that these statutes provide protections for service members if they become involved in an issue arising from a licensing process or administrative activities, such as a hearing.
In addition to the new web page, AZ ROC has also designated three staff members who have served in the military and volunteered to serve as veteran representatives at the agency. Working in coordination with the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, these individuals have been trained on the statutes benefiting the men and women of our armed forces, past and present, and are available to answer any questions regarding how these statutes may impact an applicant or current licensee.
These representatives can be reached via phone at 877.692.9762 or email at [email protected].
AZ ROC is proud to recognize the dedication, commitment and experience of our veterans and service members, committed to honoring those experiences when these members apply for a contractors license, and will ensure their due process rights as service members are upheld in an administrative procedure.
